Ramón “El Gordo” Chay, Morena councilor in Telchac Puerto, dies suddenly

TELCHAC PUERTO.- This Wednesday , Ramón “El Gordo” Chay, a Morena councilor , died suddenly while fishing in this port.

The death of councilor Ramón O. Chay M., who went out to "throw nets" with two friends when he collapsed at a certain moment, caused deep consternation among the residents.

His fishing companions helped him and called for help from the port. The councilor was taken to land, where he was assessed by paramedics , who could only confirm that he no longer had vital signs.

The now deceased served as a councilor, from Morena, of the 2024-2027 City Council.

“El Gordo” Chay, as he was popularly known in the port, enjoyed the affection of the people of the community for his kind manner and ability to serve.
